Minecraft Update 1.14

Discus and support Minecraft Update 1.14 in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I am unable to download the update for version 1.14. I am currently on 1.12 I can't connect to a person for Mojang.     I am unable to download the update for version 1.14. I am currently on 1.12

    I can't connect to a person for Mojang. I made an account on their website but it says that I don't own a copy. I clearly do.

    I went to the Microsoft store to try and find an update but it also says I don't have a copy.

    I bought the game through I think Xbox (I play on a laptop). But I still cannot figure out the update issue. I looked on all the xbox apps I have. Since there are not any direct emails for either Mojang or Microsoft that I can find, I thought I'd try the
    forums. Does anyone have any ideas for what I can try?

    Ok, that makes sense. I think it's a bit confusing because I can access some information for my version on xbox companion. Mine is the Windows 10 edition.

    The general public release is 1.12.1. To be able to get 1.14 you will need to sign up for beta.

    You will however not be able to play on realms if you have the beta installed. If your friends have the general public release of the game you won't be able to play with them either unless you are all on beta.

    Any world opened while you have the beta installed won't be able to be opened if you opt out of the beta until the new features available in beta is released to general public.

    Java is on 1.15 now. Bedrock 1.14 is Beta. 1.12 is general public.

    Version 1.12.1 is the currently the most recent official version of Minecraft in the Bedrock edition.

    If you (or your friends) have opted in to receive the Beta version of Minecraft, then you'd be at version 1.14.

    So unless you actively used the Insider program to opt in to the Minecraft Beta, the 1.12 version is the most up to date version, and everything is as it should be.

    If you want to play with friends that have 1.14, they either have to leave the Beta, or you'll have to join the Beta to get 1.14. But be aware, that using Beta versions, you are playing on untested software, which can cause unexpected crashes or data loss.
