    I migrated my mojang account to my microsoft account years ago at this point and ive been able to play minecraft with relatively no issue. I just reinstalled minecraft after factory resetting my computer (minecraft wasnt installed on this computer previously but on other computers) and now it says i have to buy it. Id understand them making you buy it if you never migrated but i did so im confused. The only theory i can come up with is my game pass conflicting with my actual purchase of the game and now that my game pass has expired it overrided it and i can no longer play it. Please help.

    I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Minecraft account.

    Based on your description, the error suggests that the system can't find the Minecraft game license on your Microsoft account.

    Your Minecraft account must have migrated to the original Microsoft account email address where it was first created.

    In order to fix this, you will need to find the Microsoft account where your Minecraft was migrated and where your Minecraft game license was purchased.

    Kindly sign in to all of your Microsoft email accounts on account.microsoft.com > payment and billing > order history > select the date of range when you purchased your Minecraft game.

    From there, check if you have any Minecraft transactions. If you have found the transactions, use the same Microsoft account to login to Minecraft Launcher.

    If you're unable to find the Minecraft game transaction, check your other Microsoft email accounts' order history.

    i probably shouldve clarified this but i bought minecraft when it was only available from mojang back in 2015 so it does not show up in order history as it even predates my outlook, in 2021 or 2022 i succesfully merged it with microsoft and was able to play as normal but only now it shows up as "Buy" please help i do not have $30 to spend on minecraft i have 9 kids i need to feed

    So basically i got the add on while the store was updating the store updated and the add on 'unbought' its self but i never got an email saying i bought it to begin with so when the store updated its said its price again so i bought it again and no email

    I bought Hogwarts Legacy and uninstalled, now it is gone?

    On the Xbox game store. It was the original 69.99 version for X/S. And it worked and I was able to play it...for a day or two. Then I was getting this error 0x82d40003 making it unplayable. This led me to try all of the troubleshooting tips other similar questions suggested like a hard reset and uninstall/reinstall. I have done this with games before and always been able to reinstall them afterwards. Never have I had a game I bought get unbought
