Minecraft syncing purchases with Microsoft account not working

Been trying to sync my coins and packs with my microsoft account on a switch for a while now, and after browsing the internet for any sort of answer to this problem, I have found absolutely nothing. Basically what happens, is I go to the store, check my content, and click the sign in option to sync things. I press the save to account button and it does nothing at first. After waiting a bit it prompts the login screen. After I login through the website it logs me in on the switch, but nothing is transferred over. I've tried everything; restarting the game, restarting the device, reinstalling minecraft, checking for corrupt data, switching microsoft accounts (both with xbox profiles), deleting my worlds, and even using an entirely different switch, for nothing to change.

Same issue here. If I log into Minecraft on my Nintendo switch under my Nintendo account, I can see the DLC. But it will not sync over to my Microsoft account to be able to play on different devices.

Has anyone had luck syncing purchases made with a Nintendo account to a Microsoft account in Minecraft marketplace?

That is NOT what the prompt says, it says "Save purchases to a Microsoft Account", with a button that says "Save to Microsoft Account". No where is it mentioned that they are 2 different products, and you cannot save your purchases. Clicking "Save to Microsoft
Account" does nothing, other than sign you into your Microsoft Account.

"Do you want to play with whatever you buy from any Minecraft Store enabled system? Sign in with a FREE Microsoft account and sync your purchased Skins, Textures, Maps, and Mash-ups to use and play in Minecraft!

If you lose your system or uninstall Minecraft, your purchases will still be synced and accessible on any system when you use your Microsoft account."

to contact Mojang support lead me to here, from their perspective it is a Microsoft issue.

Button choices are "Save to Microsoft Account" and "Cancel". Selecting "Save to Microsoft Account", I login to my Microsoft account, which contains 0 Minecraft purchases. This means there is no actual sync occurring.

Ive seen this question elsewhere on this forum and on the web so it appears to be a common issue. How does one sync their purchases as it is NOT straight forward.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are trying to sync purchases to Microsoft account. Unfortunately, this will not work. They will need to be repurchased on the Microsoft account. You can reach out to the
