Minecraft Stuck at 1.17.10 and won't update. HELP!!!

Hello!! So a while back ago (back in 2017) Mojang game me a code for Minecraft Windows 10 Edition for being a returning player from java edition. (Alpha days were some fun times!!) And it has been working on my account now for years up until this point, where it says in the store that I don't own the game anymore. But here are the weird things.. When I launch the game on my PC and Xbox Series X, it allows me to play the full game, but it's stuck at the update called 1.17.10 and at the time of me posting this, it's supposed to be at the version 1.17.34. And because of all of this, I can't play on my realm, I can't play with my friends, and I don't get the new features that they keep adding into the game because it won't update anymore. I tried multiple different fixes like resetting the game in the settings on windows in the apps sections, I tried playing it on my Xbox Series X but it still wont update and is still stuck at the version 1.17.10, I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it and still nothing, I tried using my friends account and doing the same steps but still nothing, and I even tried buying another digital copy of the game but when I went to redeem it, it said "Sorry, you already own this product" which somehow I do but at the same time I don't. (If that makes any sense) And I really want to play Minecraft with my friends really badly but I can't and I am really starting to lose hope. So, I was wondering if anybody on here could help me try to come up with another solution to resolve this. Because keep in mind, I own(ed) the game from before, and I got another code for it because it says I don't have it but yet it still wont work. I am very sorry if this sounds really confusing to anyone because trust me, my head is gone with this as well. But if anyone is able to help, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!

In the Microsoft Store app, does the store recognize you have the game or ask you to buy the game? Can you also find the game in your account's purchase history?

Remove the game, check for Windows updates in Windows update and install everything including optional/additional updates. After doing these steps below install the game again and see if it solves the problem.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store in the Windows bar, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Login with your account again in both apps

5. Open the Microsoft Store, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner ''download and updates'' and click on ''get updates'' and update everything.

6. Restart your PC to apply any updates and try again.

Not OP, but I have the exact same problem.

I've been stuck at version 1.17.10 both on PC and on Xbox One Series S ever since it released.
I've tried literally everything I could imagine, it just does not update nor install the updated version.

I got the W10/Xbox version of the game because I had the Java Edition, just like OP. I'm pretty sure that's related...

It was so very long ago, but I'm still scrolling https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders trying to find it.
I'll get back to you if I do.

Minecraft Launcher is the same thing as Minecraft Java! I have issue with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (Not JAVA EDITION). Do you understand this?
When i installed Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on my laptop from Microsoft Store it has the latest version but when i installed Minecraft: Bedrock Edition at another device (PC) from Microsoft store it stuck on 1.17.10 version and don't updating to 1.17.41 version. This is Microsoft Store's problem, it doesn't updating my Minecraft to the last version on my PC.

P.S PC and laptop has Windows 10.
