Minecraft split screen won’t work

I was playing with my little sister but we wanted to change the resource pack to the regular minecraft one, and now it wont give me the prompt to let her controller play? I don't know what to do to get it to work. Shes logged in on her account to
her controller and i am on mine. Open to LAN is also on

I can't get my split screen to work on my console and I have the disc of minecraft if that has a different I have all the things that u need to do split screen but it will not work what can I do?

Can you also clarify i you or your brother's account is a child account or not? This can affect your ability to play split screen if the proper privacy settings have not been set.
