did you notice any storage space problems during the gap time period? (i.e. games needing more storage space)

You can check your storage space (aka hard drive space) via Settings>System>Storage.

I am assuming you have only the internal drive setup to use for captures - how much of the internal drive space is used?

Was there an external drive connected during the gap period?

The error code 1x9 or 2x9 and the cloud archive upload issue you're experiencing with Minecraft Education Edition may be related to disk space, account sync, or a problem with the cloud storage service. The fact that you're still getting “Insufficient disk space” errors despite deleting some worlds suggests that there may be a few things to troubleshoot. Here are some solutions you can try:



1. Check local storage space
Even though you've deleted some worlds, the game itself may still be taking up a lot of local storage space, especially for cache files or other temporary data. If the storage space is full, you may not be able to free up enough space even if you delete a few small worlds.
Solution:
Check the remaining storage space on your device:
On Windows 10/11, click the Start menu and select Settings > System > Storage.
Check the available storage space and make sure you have enough free space (it is recommended to have at least 5-10GB free space for games and cloud archive synchronization).
Clean up unnecessary files:
Delete temporary files, caches, or applications you are no longer using to free up space. 2.



2. Try logging out and back in to your Microsoft account
Sometimes archive synchronization issues are related to account authentication errors. Try logging out of your Microsoft account and logging back in to ensure that your cloud archive is synchronized correctly.

Log out of your Microsoft account within the game.
Log back into your Microsoft account.

3. Check Cloud Storage Settings
Even though you deleted your local worlds, it's possible that your Minecraft Education Edition is still trying to sync or upload the deleted world data. Check the cloud storage settings in the game to see if you can manage your cloud archive manually.
Solution:
Open Minecraft Education Edition and go to Settings.
Look for Cloud Storage Management or Sync Settings and make sure that Cloud Archiving is turned on properly and that you can clear or manage storage.



4. Clearing Cache Files
Minecraft and other games may accumulate cache files that are not automatically deleted, but can take up a lot of storage space. Clearing these caches may resolve some synchronization issues.
Solution:
Close Minecraft.
In File Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang.
Delete all temporary cache files or deleted world data files.
Restart Minecraft and try uploading to the cloud again.

Im tired of these fanboys saying somethings wrong with their xbox, I doubt you even have an xbox one!!

I have the same issue. It doesn't matter what world it is, I always get this message. I've created and deleted atleast 5 survival worlds and re-downloaded the game 3 times. Im using a 1TB hard drive and my most recent world to do this is 17MB. It seems
hard to believe that each world gets corrupted over and over again. This issue does not seem to be on my end, but on microsofts. Please fix this. Running version 1.12.0 Windows 10 edition.
