Minecraft requests for download, however no update to be found?

I pay for a realm on Minecraft as some are cross platform. Issue is this is the second time I’ve been asked to update the game, when I click see Microsoft store it takes me to the page where I can purchase the Minecraft starter pack, I already own the bedrock version.

If I check for updates on the Xbox in general there is nothing to be found. No updates at all. However, the last time this happened the Xbox notifaction at the bottom popped up and said installation stopped. So I assume me opening the game disturbed it and I came off. We’ve played fine since yesterday. Again it asks for an update, but there is no evidence of an update anywhere. Surely it has to be somewhere in order to get the notification? I’m sat looking at the home page just trying to guess when it might be done.

I’ve search the store, updates, everywhere.

Anyone else having the same issue and has managed to solve it?

If there is an update available it should be visible on your updates tab and if there is none, it means that your game is up to date.

Whenever you're trying to launch the game what is the exact message or issue that you're experiencing?

I have tried restarting the Store, Redownloading + Reinstalling the Minecraft Launcher, restarting my PC, downloading the latest windows update, updating my drivers, and restarting services. However, none of it has worked.

I found a solution from a user to download the free Minecraft Launcher from the Xbox app from https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/minecraft-launcher/9PGW18NPBZV5/0010 and uninstall it directly afterwards. Then you should be able to run the normal Minecraft installer.

Try uninstalling the game and re-download it so instead of trying to download the bugged update it will download the most recent version of the game instead.

If its minecraft you are talking about, try checking the host settings. Many people found they had changed after the last update. If you can't find your game, go to your download history and re-download it.

On a secondary topic, I have seen a lot of people having problems with minecraft multi-player since the last update. Several people I messaged before I became an ambassador asking that they check the host settings, and most of the time this was the problem.
It may be a good sticky to add to the minecraft forum.
