Minecraft Realms on Mobile

Hello Xbox Community!

I'm having an issue, and need help. I try to play Minecraft Realms on my phone, and it says "you need to change privacy settings before playing on realms". So I go to the website, and it has a link that should send me to my account settings, but it sends me back to the same page (maybe an incorrect hyperlink). If there is some place I could change it, where would it be? I don't have access to an Xbox console at the moment. Help appreciated!

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are inquiring about using your Realms subscription across multiple platforms.

There are indeed two different versions of the Minecraft Realms.

These two versions are incompatible with each other and are developed separately with different features. Players on Minecraft:Java Edition can't play on console, mobile or Windows 10 Realms and vice versa.

That being said, unless you purchased a subscription on the Bedrock edition of Minecraft, you will be unable to access your Realms from your mobile device.

In addition to this, you can link up your Microsoft account on your mobile device, but you will be unable to sync up your Mojang account. You can find more information about Realms on the

My answer in this thread with the same question may help. I’ve gone through all the steps in detail to adjust privacy settings for both adult and child accounts, and have explained the redirect loop between the privacy settings and support page, as well as how to resolve the error.

Simply put, if you’re on a child account (under 18 in most countries) or in a family as a child, then you won’t be able to access the privacy settings page. An adult from the same family would need to adjust your privacy settings in family settings for you. If you’re on a child account but not in a family, then you’ll need to join one to be able to do this.

The cross play of Minecraft works as such,

The PC/MAC is separate from the other versions in terms of cross-play. As in the only way to join a game with console or mobile players (or Windows 10) is to play on a realm.

Console (Xbox and PS), Mobile and Windows 10 will all work without needing realms as long as your friends are online or on the same network as yourself.

It is only the PC/MAC version of the game that will require you to use realms to join each others game.

I have the same issue as Bruhmoment10283 on mobile so I redownloaded Minecraft and now I don’t have any of my worlds and can’t play realms
