Minecraft realms family, office 365 family conflict.

Ok how about this: Let the Office 365 account on MS1 expire. Then subscribe to Office 365 Family using MS2 as primary, and simply add MS1 as a family member. Would MS1 Still have all Office 365 cloud data intact?

If you have Office 365 Family and your son has his own PC you send him a sharing link in order that he can install 365, he doesnt as such have his own 365 Office MS Account. And you can cancel/terminate his 365 via your MS Account at any time

I agree that there is room for improvement in the current family sharing system. My Idea would be a true "Home" sharing setup, where all Xboxes on the same home network could share 1 gold account. They could even limit that to maybe 1 gold account can
share with up to 4 Xboxes on the same local network. That would solve most family account issues, and still be controlled enough to limit the abuse of the program.

The other way they could handle it would be similar to how Microsoft runs Office 365. With my 365 account I can have up to 5 running instances of Office at once, and I can designate family members to share my 365 account with. If Live Gold used that same
system, then you could add your family to the account the same way. 365 is $99 a year, where Live Gold is $60, so maybe up the "family shared" version of Live Gold to $99 a year, where a single use account is still $60?

I would also like a Microsoft "Super" account that would give me Office 365, Xbox Gamepass, and Live Gold under one Subscription...

It is not for an office subscription, it is for the purchases of games and game adds. Some in this family dont want us buying game adds, so I wanted to remove them to avoid any conflicts ony end.

does not help though if the family member has an office 365 subscription or other subs on the account along with payment info etc etc as they would need to be cancelled then moved over to the new account, also if they are like me and have over 500gb worth of data in one drive that would also need transferring and any shared folders setup, also the date of birth cannot be updated on the original account and any parental controls will need to be completely configured.

also if they have family accounts setup with their office 365 sub similar to me would mean removing the shares from the existing account and applying to the new one too.

plus there is also any other services used that are linked with that microsoft account too. including the family members pc.
