Minecraft PS4: Deleted Microsoft Account, Sony doesn't help.

Hi,

I am making this as I cannot use online features on Minecraft for PlayStation 4.

The Microsoft account that was linked to my PlayStation account has been deleted about 8 months ago.

As such, logging in to Minecraf with my current account prompts me to login to the now deleted Microsoft account.

I have contacted Sony and spent an hour on the phone with them, but the line operator just linked me to one fo your articles stating that account linking is permanent, and told me they cannot unlink the accounts.

This basically means that I cannot enjoy Minecraft's (which I have purchased) online features anymore, rendering the game a waste of money.

I do not know if the fault lies with Microsoft or with Sony, for the decision to make account linking permanent such as that not even both parties can do anything about it, even if the event of an account deletion.

I would like to know what I could do to try and repair this issue, whether it is introducing a way to unlink the account for any of the three parties (Sony, Microsoft & the User); or recovering my old microsoft account (which I have no hope for, as it has been nearly a year since it's deletion).

What do we do if its been longer than 60 days? (deleted my account last year) are we just permenantly banned from playing online?

Hi there for the ps4 version of minecraft please go to a support page or forum for sony as microsoft does not own ps4. Also with it being an issue for minecraft please go to a minecraft/mojang support page or forum for help resolving this issue thank you.

From your description, I understand that you are told that you are already logged in to another account when trying to log in to Minecraft on PS4. I understand your confusion about this problem.

This may be a service problem of ps4. You can try the following methods to solve your problem:

Even if you can unlink the account, Sony will not allow you to link another Microsoft account afterwards:

Note: After linking a Microsoft account to a PlayStation® account, neither the Microsoft account nor the PlayStation™ Network account can be linked to other accounts. Even if you unlink, the Microsoft and PlayStation® accounts can only be relinked to the original accounts. Again, this is a Sony restriction. It is not a limitation imposed by Microsoft/Minecraft.
