Minecraft PS4 account already linked

I've been stuck with this issue for weeks now and cant resolve it no matter what i try.

Each time i try to log my son into his Microsoft account, I continually get an error saying that an account is already linked.

I have no idea what email address was used to sign into Microsoft, and the username it gives is one of the randomly generated gamertags. So i have no way of finding out what email address i need to be able to sign in and "unlink".

So far I've deleted save files, deleted save files and MC Cache, completely removed Minecraft from his PS4, along with all save data and cleared PS4 cache, and each time I've got the error stating he's already signed in with another account!?

Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. I logged a ticket with Minecraft support over a week ago, and still not had any kind of response from them

Hello Alex,

I logged a support ticket with Minecraft through minecraft.net

Im not sure if Microsoft support will be able to assist if i dont know what the offending account is or who it belongs to?

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately I'm in the UK, so the 1800 number won't work. I did find the UK equivalent, but all it did was point me to the support site. The same as the live chat option. There are no chats available for profile or account based enquiries

There is definitely ways of contacting Microsoft about the issue to see if they can help.

1 (800) 642-7676 is the number for Microsoft and
https://support.microsoft.com can get you to a support rep online.
