Minecraft Preview - Multiplayer Issue

Hey there, Spawner65! I'm very sorry to see any issues with multiplayer in Minecraft! What you're running into is likely an issue with your Xbox Live Gold. It doesn't appear that your account has Gold here on the forums because you've got a gray gamertag.
Minecraft multiplayer requires Gold.

The notification for Minecraft in the Service Alert is solely for sharing to Facebook, not multiplayer games.

If you continue to have issues with multiplayer in Minecraft and you have Gold on your account, please post back so that we can look further into any possible issues.

If you can change your Xbox account settings, then this multiplayer issue could be either related to Xbox NAT issue or else an in-game issue. We need to isolate this issue to ensure that you will be assisted with the right support. We can assist you with steps about account settings and provide you details however, if you have an in-game issue this is supported by Mojang while if this is related to network you can follow troubleshooting and contact ISP for further assistance.

This may be a little easier if we could talk to the person having the issue. Or if you could clarify is all users that join your worlds lag or if it's just this single user. If it is only this user, I recommend telling your friend to first contact Mojang support.
