Minecraft Pocket Edition 1.16.10: Cannot join friend’s world

Hello Microsoft team and community,

I have been constantly trying to join my friend’s multiplayer world on Minecraft, but it says “Unable to join game,” or something along those lines. We are both Xbox friends, and our settings do not block these attempts. We are both in a close location,
so we are a few minutes away from each other’s house. It only works on rare occasions on the same internet connection, but that’s it. Is there anything possible you guys can do or tell me to do to be able to stop this occurring issue? It would mean a lot.

Hello Izzy,

We understand that you and your friend are attempting to join the same world on Minecraft Pocket Edition.

Are you both using the same devices, i.e. both a phones, tablets?

Or is your friend playing on a different platform?

It might be best to review the Minecraft PE FAQ for further details regarding everything Pocket Edition.

Try this and let us know if this works.

Why i cannot playing server in minecraft pocket edition

Is your friend trying to use "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" or the version just called "Minecraft" , If your friend trying to use the one called "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" I don't believe this version is able to join your Minecraft world.

My cousin and I played fine before, but now I can't receive an invite from her nor can I see her world, but she can join mine. We both have the same version of minecraft pocket edition.
