Minecraft PE unable to connect to world problem

I am playing minecraft pe (v1.16.50) on both iphone and ipad. I’ve created Live accounts for both my daughter and I and added each other as friends. I’ve checked all the privacy/secuirty settings for both accounts. We’re both able to see each other in
our own worlds and able to invite/accept invitations to play but keep getting the “unable to connect to world” error when trying to join each others worlds. What else am I missing?

@Neo Ronin Try contacting Minecraft support directly if your having difficulties.

I’ve even tried logging off both our accounts but when we do that we can’t find each other on LAN. We been playing for months and this just started happening a couple weeks ago.

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this problem.

Does this happen if you yourself or him try on another phone?

Since this is the pocket edition, and you have already tried those previously posted troubleshooting steps, then I would go ahead and try contacting
Mojang Support
to help resolve or get to the bottom of the problem.

Give that a shot and let us know if it helped in resolution of this issue.
