Minecraft PC giving error "something happened on our end"

That error appears after you sign in or where is exactly appearing this message?

In the meantime please double check if your windows system and all apps are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Could you please share the error code if you have one?

In the meantime please go to the settings of the PC and in the windows update section select check updates

On the Microsoft store app, please go to the library section and select get updates

If you try to install other apps you see an error message also?

I just tried this but it didn't change anything. It's only minecraft that does this, I tried a few other apps and they all downloaded and installed successfully. On the button to download minecraft there is a picture of a cloud with a down arrow, not sure if that is significant or not. Thanks in advance

thank you for getting back to me Ricardo I really appreciate it. Ok so I updated everything I could update and the problem is still there. Everything else works on the store but for downloading the minecraft launcher I get an error that literally just says "Try again later. Something happened on our end" no error codes or anything. I've tried resetting the app but to no avail.

Clear and reset Store cache in Windows

Step 1: Close Windows Store app if it’s running.

Step 2: In the Start menu search box, type WSReset (Windows Store Reset) to see Wsreset in the search results.

Step 3: Right-click on WSReset and then click Run as administrator option.

Step 4: restart Pc and Modem/router
