    Minecraft PC "chat disabled by account settings. cannot send message"


    whenever i try to play mine craft, and hit T or / to type, i get hit with a message that reads "chat disabled by account settings. cannot send message". ive done plenty of searching, and I've found 3 good forums on how this is usually a privacy and security setting on Microsoft that can be easily fixed. ill link the most descriptive forum, if that's what you guys are looking for.

    however, this solution is not working for me. all of my settings are set to enabled by default, ive tried turning them off and back on, ive verified that im not accidentally using a child account, and all of the such. frankly, im starting to think that i may have to wait till the 12th, as that's when my little brothers chat ban ends on the Xbox. it may seem obvious to yall, but i was really hoping that wasn't the case. either way, if that's truly not the issue, and i cant chat for another reason, do you guys have any ideas?

    i tried that on the minecraft launcher itself, but no where else. should i try it on microsoft?

    its no problem! unfortunately though, there has been no change, to either the game nor the settings.

    also, im not sure if i said it or not earlier, but this started immediately after i migrated my account from Mojang to Microsoft. at this point, i dont wanna risk leaving out information

    check any changes to the game itself? ill take a look, and if thats not what you meant, ill also look at the privacy settings again if i still cant use chat

    i corrected my birth date, however, im not sure what you mean by an organizer account. could you give me some more details on that?

    ive considered that possibility, the issue is that i only have 1 Microsoft account to begin with. should i try creating a separate one?
