Minecraft PC and Nintendo Switch cross-play

Hey, I've just got a copy of Minecraft for Nintendo Switch, how do I connect to my game on PC? It doesn't show up in "Friends" tab saying nobody's playing right now. Same for connecting to console from PC. Both console and PC use same wi-fi, have same
version and Microsoft account.

Try see if in your Xbox App on PC have some Update to do or the Game in PC and Nintendo Switch is the same version

There is cross platform as in pc and xbox at this current moment as I said it was attempted for the psn & xbox side of thing with fortnite but it didn't go to plan so got closed. . And also there is some cross platform with Nintendo switch on minecraft

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have question on log in for Minecraft. You should be able to log into all Minecraft on many different platforms with your Microsoft account. As Cross play requires a Microsoft account.

Microsoft account. Xbox Live Gold required for online multiplayer on Xbox One. PlayStation Plus Membership required for online multiplayer on Playstation 4. Nintendo Switch Online membership required for online multiplayer on Nintendo Switch.
