    Minecraft ownership mismatch


    Hello, I've owned Minecraft since 2011 and periodically come back to try it again. Today I discovered that it wasn't present in my library. over on Mojang.com its showing that I claimed my win 10 code back in 2015.

    In the online version of the Microsoft store here:

    it recognizes that I own the game, however when I click the install link it opens the local version of the store app which remains convinced I need to purchase it and am only eligible for a trial. Any guidance appreciated.

    Do you have the confirmation email about the migration on your Microsoft account email address?

    Also, where did you download Minecraft Java from? Direct from the Minecraft Launcher?

    The developers are aware of the issue and there should be a fix real soon. You can check out twitter.com/mojangstatus for future updates or even TrueAchievements as well.

    Please confirm if you have the Minecraft game license by signing your account to account.microsoft.com > go to Payment and Billing > go to Order History > then from there, find the Minecraft game purchase.

    If the Minecraft game license can't be found there, which means it was purchased on a different account.

    Kindly try to sign in to your other email addresses on account.microsoft.com and try to find the Minecraft game license under the Order History.
