    I've had this problem for a few months, probably since last year.

    My Minecraft [Java] will not open; bedrock works ok, but Java keeps giving me the same problem.

    I'm running Windows 10, and all of my graphics drivers, as well as my entire PC, have been updated and checked through. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the launcher, Minecraft, and Java itself several times. I also tried replacing/updating the DDL file in case it was broken and deleting all mods and shaders from my files.

    At this point, I'm confused; I'm not sure what the problem might be. I came here as a last resort because I don't know what else to do here.

    good morning

    the message says that your video device does not run the game in question, if it is on a notebook it is possible that it is configured to use the onboard card and therefore it does not run, I advise you to see how to configure to activate the offboard card in minecraft. this configuration is usually in the video card controller.

    I get error code 0x803F8001.

    I did contact support already and they told me to update and get something that I think was called windows media. I am on windows and I'm trying to play Minecraft java edition. I get this error when I open the Minecraft launcher it gives me that error.

    What device/platform are you using to play Minecraft? Is it a Bedrock edition or Java edition?

    Thanks for the quick answer. I managed to find the Java folder and tried inserting the code on the latest version installation, but it gives me this error:

    Your Java Runtime is incompatible. Please edit your installation to use the bundled Java Runtime.

    I assume the Java version isn't compatible with the latest Minecraft version? However, when I tried with a 1.8.9 installation, I got another error. First it opens a Java code window and then it gives me this error on the launcher:

    The game crashed: initializing game

    Error: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated
