We understand that you allowing your son to play Minecraft with his friends needs to your approval. In that case, we will suggest few things that may help you with your child's account. Let's go ahead and have your child get back to gaming.

Suggested Troubleshooting:

Method 1

Kindly check if your child's account has a customization under his account. Online privacy can be adjusted within Xbox app. Here are the steps:

Settings > Account > Privacy & Online safety > Xbox privacy > View details and customize > Communication and multiplayer. You may select allow to the appropriate settings.

Method 2

If that did not work, please try to check your account's profile. Here are the steps:

1. Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system, and then sign in to your account.
   
3. Press the Xbox button  again to open the guide, and then select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Family settings > Manage family members
   
4. Select the profile of your child and manage privacy of the account.
   

Method 3

You may manage your son's activity through using Microsoft Family site (https://account.microsoft.com/family/about), Xbox Console and Xbox Family Settings app.

For what game did you rent a Nitrado server?

I assume you are probably trying to rent a Minecraft server, right? The Xbox and Windows 10 version of Minecraft do not support Nitrado Minecraft servers. They only support Realms and a few selected online community servers.

If I misunderstood your post, please describe in more detail what Nitrado server you got for what.
