minecraft online multiplayer not permitted

i have recently purchased minecraft on my windows 10 PC, and every time i attempt to join an online server or realm with friends i get an error message that says my account privacy blocks me from playing,
and provides me with the link: aka.ms.accountsetup, whenever i open the link it brings me to my privacy settings where everything is
allowed, even the online multiplayer option. but when i open minecraft and try yo play with friends it doesnt allow me to. i dont know why it stops me from playing even though my privacy settings allow me to

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently unable to load into multiplayer servers or worlds in Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.

Since you have already attempted to change your
Xbox Live privacy settings online, perhaps, if its applicable, we could attempt this from your Xbox console.

If you have an Xbox One, you can follow these steps in order to change your settings on your account. These changes will reflect across all platforms so see if you can give it a go:

Sign in to your Xbox.
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, then go to
System > Settings > Account.
Under Privacy & online safety, select Xbox Live privacy.
Choose a default, or customize your settings by selecting View details & customize.

See if you can give this a go and see if you can then launch online into multiplayer worlds on your PC.

I am able to sign into xbox.com, I dont believe my account is a child account because im not a child, and those settings you had provided are on allow/everybody so I still dont know the cause of the online block.

i dont have an xbox one, only pc, and ive signed into microsoft store and everything but its not linked to an actual xbox.

If you're in a family account the parent/person in charge of it has to make the changes for you.

Here are the steps

Go to account.xbox.com website. Log in under your account.

Go to "privacy & online safety" page.

on the page you should see your profile and your child(s).

click on the child profile pic, it should be green now.

click the "Xbox One Online Safety" tab.

Allow everything but "buy and download".

Click save at the bottom!

click the "Xbox 360 Online Safety" tab.

allow the first 2 "Accept Friend Requests" and "Online Gameplay".

make sure you click save.
