Minecraft One release date and Sweet upgrade deal :D

Well if wasting money makes you happy then more power to you.

 

And couple years from now. I would not have a 360 toplayed it. So it also act a replacement copy of the game. In 2016 or 2017. I finally retiered the 360. And get rid of too. And not get for the one as you want us to do. Then how I played it when I feel
go back to it? Can you answer that for us.

 

how is buying a game you enjoy and have fun playing "wasting money"? i bought minecraft on xbox 360, but i'm also buying it on ps3 so i can get it on vita then i'll buy both next gen versions whenever i get them...i don't see any wasted money on my part
since i'm having fun with it, i've spent far more money on far less entertainment.

 

^ yep. And I hope there more achievements to earned. Or have reg base challeges.

 

This is one of those games that I wonder if it should have remained exclusive, in this case to the PC.

Simply because I wonder if the consoles will ever have such freedom as this

I think the fact it came to consoles is a win win for everyone involved.

Many children that don't have access to a PC get to play a great educational game.

Many other non PC gamers have access to it.

The fact that Mojang has included everyone means it gets the revenue to make the game even better for PC users then everyone else, win win.

 

Money wise it was a brilliant choice to bring it to consoles, no argument there.

Yet it is always going to be limited, it's never going to be able to allow the freedom of expression that the PC version allows.

This is in no way me saying the console versions are a bad game, absolutely not.

 

Even with the limitations on the console versions it's still a great game that brings joy to millions if people, I personally can't see any downside to that, my kids love it, as do I, heck my wife talked about getting it on her iPad until I talked her out
of it (she's not really a gamer and I don't think she could cope with the virtual controls).

 

I'm not really explaining myself right, shouldn't be drinking Stella Cidre.

Rather why go for the version that, while good, is demonstrably worse?

Hell the minimum requirements for Minecraft are a Pentium-D and integrated graphics

 

Some people prefer to game on a console, not everyone is PC litterate, not everyone is worried about the latest version of the game, some people just want to sit in front of a TV with a controller in their hand and play some Minecraft.

 

You mean how you can sit in front of your TV and play some Minecraft on the PC?........with a controller?

Dear lord. Anyone would think PCs are still tied to a desk. Next thing I know there will be someone saying you need to upgrade every single second in order to play games.

 

My 9 year old son plays Minecraft every night, he can't operate a PC confidently, he couldn't install a game, he couldn't format a controller to a PC, he doesn't have a PC in his bedroom, so for him the console version is perfect, he gets to play his favourite
game in his bedroom when he wants without any adult involvement, and that is the very reason why the console version is so great...

I am surprised you don't seem to accept that not every wants or needs a PC to play games on...

I've been drinking that a lot lately. It's only 2 euro a bottle. It's not as good as Bulmers (Irish Bulmers, not that stink rip-off English Bulmers..lol) but it's good.

As far as Minecraft goes, my son wants it. I don't see the appeal to be honest.

Well its not really wasting money if its something you enjoy playing, and know you'll get the money worth.

I play the hell out of this game so 4.99 seems pretty justifiable to me, you know most developers would of just slammed players with full price again.
