Minecraft on xbox one s and win 10

Hello good folks,

I've bought a copy of minecraft for windows 10 and just recently got a copy for xbox one s.

When my kids try to play at the same time, one will say "logged in at another location" and get kicked out of whatever server they're on.

How can I get this to work?

And no, buying a third copy of the game is not an acceptable answer.

Sounds like you are using the same account on both games. Use a different account on one of them, and the games will work fine.

This behaviour only happens when you are trying to sign in on the same account. Do your children have separate accounts?

If they don't, then you will need to create separate accounts for them.

It seems that there is a way !

There is not any supported way to install Win 10 O/S onto the xbox one hardware.

Sorry, one more question. If I buy the Xbox one version can I play the character I made on Windows 10?

You can play across both platforms but it is a different version of the game and does require a separate purchase
