Minecraft on Xbox isn’t showing custom servers

My friends made a custom server, but I can’t even find it. I go to the server menus and only see the featured Minecraft servers. It doesn’t even give me the option to add servers. I have all the privacy setting set to allow or everyone. I used the same Microsoft account on my iPad and was able to add the server through m iPad. However, when I went into Minecraft on my Xbox, it still didn’t appear, it only showed the featured servers.

Joining Minecraft servers from Xbox can be somewhat complicated for users who do not know the steps to follow. Although from computers it is as simple as selecting the "add a server" option on Xbox, we do not have this option directly. Therefore, today we are going to teach you how to connect to Minecraft servers from Xbox so you can join your friends.

Keep in mind that Minecraft has more than one different version and the PC Java version and the Xbox console edition are not the same version. So to be able to join a private server from Xbox consoles, the steps to follow are a little different, plus on our console we will have to modify a couple of sections so that everything works as it should.

Im having the same issue but mine says DNS ISN’t resolving server names.

How do i post on the forum?

Hey there, I posted about this on another forum post just a few minutes ago. Turns out there’s an issue with Minecraft right now affecting many players that is asking them to sign up for game pass in order to continue playing their game whether they purchased
it recently or many years ago. This is a glitch that currently isn’t being reported on the Xbox live server page. So my understanding is this is on the Minecraft server side and will just have to be waited out

No, come on guys, Microsoft uses a CDN to deliver this stuff and it’s in their best interest to let it rip as fast as it can possibly download. That way the customer is happier and the transfer is done sooner, allowing more customers to start downloads. Downloads on Xbox are max speed and not throttled, which shows their intent.

This is almost certainly a TCP tuning issue in Windows that isn’t getting to the right people in Microsoft to fix.
