minecraft on Playstation4

Hi, I'm a mum. I have no idea about these things!

My boy is trying to play Minecraft with his friends (which I believe is a microsoft product) on a Playstation (which I believe is a Sony product) but the microsoft account won't let him because of the privacy settings. I have been through as much of the
settings I can find but I haven't been able to work it out. Can anyone help please? Ta

Hello I found a article which states these steps

You will need to make sure that your child is set up and signed in on the console. Then go to Settings > Account > Family Settings > Manage
family members. Select your child's account, and then Privacy and Online Safety > Xbox Live Privacy > View details and customise > Communication
and multiplayer. Under You can play with people outside Xbox Live, change
"Block" to "Allow". This will allow any game with cross-play – Minecraft, Fortnite and the like – to connect your kid to kids on a non-Xbox platform.

As for the PS query, I would recommend getting in touch with PSN support about it, or post it in PS forums!
