    I have had minecraft PE (android) for at least a year and now its say having trouble signing into Microsoft account. I tried restarting my device, redownloading minecraft from appstore, downloading a free texture pack (from minecraft team) and even signed
    into xbox app (no problem signing into that) then back to minecraft with same results of trouble signing in to microsoft account. My internet and account seem fine. Just wont connect to microsoft account while in minecraft PE. My last ditch effort is to reset
    my tablet. But wanted to see if you guys had a resolution to this problem beforehand.

    Yes, that's correct.
    Despite fire tablets runs a custom Android version, Minecraft couldn't be downloaded on regular Android devices due to Minecraft was purchased on the Amazon Appstore, which is exclusive of Fire tablets.

    The Minecraft license purchase is per platform.

    Example: if you purchase Minecraft on Android, your son can play on any Android device. So, if he wants to play on Xbox, a new purchase is required.
