    Minecraft multiplayer on my account


    Hi there, I would REALLY appreciate some help resolving this, my sons are getting very frustrated with my complete lack of knowledge in this area! Baysically, they have different computers, one son an iPad, the other has a Switch ( which I just paid for online subscription) but now that I did that, ( in the hope that they could play Minecraft together) they now both have the same identity. The son with the Switch is now being told that he is the person who I set up to play Minecraft first. I’m really confused. Any directions here would be greatly received!

    Hey there, Spawner65! I'm very sorry to see any issues with multiplayer in Minecraft! What you're running into is likely an issue with your Xbox Live Gold. It doesn't appear that your account has Gold here on the forums because you've got a gray gamertag.
    Minecraft multiplayer requires Gold.

    The notification for Minecraft in the Service Alert is solely for sharing to Facebook, not multiplayer games.

    If you continue to have issues with multiplayer in Minecraft and you have Gold on your account, please post back so that we can look further into any possible issues. :)

    If you play Minecraft even if you're on PS console, it will still require you to have a Microsoft/Xbox account especially when playing multiplayer.

    What happened when you tried to sign in with your Microsoft/Xbox account?

    Minecraft online multiplayer

    My daughter wants to play online multiplayer in Minecraft on Xbox Live. The multiplayer option is greyed-out in the Minecraft settings screen but Xbox privacy settings are on Adult.
    What do you mean the settings are "on Adult"?

    In order to be able to play Minecraft online multiplayer on the Xbox One or Xbox 360, your daughter needs to check https://account.microsoft.com/services/ if she has an
    active Gold membership (or Game Pass Ultimate which includes the Gold membership).

    Then, if your daughter's account is a child account according to the birth date entered then the account was created, you as a parent have to go to https://account.xbox.com/settings and
    allow her to play online multiplayer.
