    Minecraft Multiplayer not available


    I subscribed my son (9) to Minecraft and while doing so I set up the microsoft account with his age. However, multiplayer mode is not allowed and he needs to access it in order to do a minecraft programming course I got him from Udemy. I read that in order to access multiplayer I must remove him from family settings in privacy, but since he is the only one to have an account I cannot remove him. I also tried updating the age to mine but it still does not work. How can I resolve this please?

    Assuming it is talking about the phone app Family Safety I have it installed on my iPhone and I am the Family Organizer. If I click my profile the only options I have are Share Location, Places, Loaction Alerts, Sign Out and Delete Account. Nothing else.

    And in my account through a browser of the PC I get a large confusing se of functions but non of which provide fixing this issue because there are simply no buttons anywhere to change these settings. I must be doing something wrong of course but I really do not see what.

    I would suggest you to change your kid's account privacy settings. You can set all settings related to multiplayer, parties and clubs to "Allow" or "Everyone". To change the Xbox privacy settings for your kid, please refer to:

    You can also change his privacy settings through the console:

    Sign in to the console with the organizer’s Microsoft account that’s in the family group.
    Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Family settings > Manage family members, and then select the member’s account that you’d like to manage.
    Select Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy.
    Select the Child, Teen, or Adult default settings, or customize their settings by selecting View details & customize.

    If I'm not mistaken, you can also change it at:

    Keep in mind you have to sign in with your adult account.

    Why is Minecraft multiplayer option not available?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings and from there make sure that these settings are set to “allow” or “everyone”:

    * You can see and upload community creations

    * You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text

    * Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites

    * You can play with people outside of Xbox Live

    * You can create and join clubs

    * You can join multiplayer games

    Make sure to hit “submit” when you made any changes.

    Once done, restart the PC for the changes to take place.
