Minecraft Mojang Free Win10 code Redemption

Yesterday I decided to give the Win10 Minecraft a whirl. But when logged into my Mojang account I tried to get the free win10 version and I clicked the redeem button and then there was another after the code appeared that apparently put it on the wrong account
and said so after the button click. The one it went to isnt my Xbox-gaming account. So now the code says "Redeemed" when I try to put it in on the right account and apparently the code got redeemed to the wrong account. I can provide the code or what ever
    else is needed.

The XBox/Microsoft FAQ said not to contact Mojang but to contact Xbox/Microsoft support to get the code canceled, reissued and redeemed to the right account. I hope this is the place to get that help although one would think there would be an easier way
to just transfer the given code provided the game hasnt been Downloaded and installed yet through the accounts themselves. Or maybe before the last click it could say: This code will be redeemed to "Insert email" account only are you sure you want it on this
    account?

Either way ty for your time and hopefully help in fixing this.

    :)

  2. Minecraft Win10 Beta Redeemed To Wrong Windows 10 Account

I recently attempted to redeem my free Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta code.

I received the code, however when setting it up, I linked the code to my old hotmail email which I had signed up with for my Minecraft account (before there were Mojang accounts).

Is there any way I can transfer the code to my correct gmail account, which my current Windows account is linked to?

I have not actually redeemed or downloaded the Win10 Minecraft yet as I do not have a Windows account linked to my old hotmail email.

Minecraft: Win10 dies after Mojang splash screen

    Hi

Anyone has any clues at to why my installed Minecraft Win10 would die right after the launching seeing "Mojang" splash screen? It was working fine last week.

    thank you.

    Minecraft

When you redeemed your Java Minecraft on Mojang, you have gotten a 5x5 code to redeem Minecraft on the Windows 10 store.

This redemption is a separate service of your Mojang account, and it's possible to use a Microsoft Account email that is different from your Mojang account email.

Mojang (which gives you Java Minecraft) is separate from the Microsoft Windows Store App, which uses a Microsoft Account email when you redeemed that 5x5 code.

After redemption of that code, the Windows 10 Minecraft is tied to the Microsoft Account email you used on your Windows 10 PC. From then on, you don't really need the Mojang account anymore, if you only want to play on Windows 10. You will then get the game
from the Windows 10 store only, with the E-Mail account you used on the Windows 10 store during code redemption.

So make sure you are signed in with the Microsoft Account email (which might not necessarily be the Mojang account email) when you use the Windows 10 Store app to re-download your Windows 10 Minecraft again.

Minecraft Windows 10 Edition free code given out by Mojang not working

    Hi Fraying,

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help you figure this out.

This is quoted directly from Mojang's "Minecraft for Windows 10" support article about the process to redeem this code, "Players
who have purchased Minecraft: Java Edition before October 19th, 2018 can get Minecraft for Windows 10 for free by visiting their Mojang account. Log into
account.mojang.com, and under the “My Games” heading you will find a button to claim your gift code. If you purchased Minecraft: Java Edition after October
19th, 2018, the button will not be there, so if you’re unsure of when you purchased Minecraft: Java Edition, that’s a good way to check. Pressing the button will generate a token and send you to a Microsoft redemption page."

So it's not generating a token but still opening a Microsoft redemption page? Is that correct?

Have you migrated your Minecraft account to a Mojang account? And are you logged into the right Microsoft Account when the redemption page opens? Also quoted from the same article, "If you have an older Minecraft account (you still log
in with your username), visit this article to find out about account migration. Once you’ve
migrated your account, you will be able to claim a code for Minecraft for Windows 10.

You must be signed into a Microsoft/Xbox Live account in order to redeem the code. Please note that you cannot move the license once the code has been redeemed. Your code is saved on your Mojang account page for future reference."

Let us know the process you are going through to claim a token and if you meet all of these requirements to obtain a token for Minecraft Windows 10 edition from Mojang.

    Microsoft not sending redemption codes

    Hello Char,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We do not send the codes for the Windows 10 edition. These come from Mojang. Here is the steps on how to claim the Windows 10 version.

    1. Go to minecraft.net

    2. Login with your MC Java account.

    3. Click big green "Buy Minecraft" button.

    4. You will get a screen saying: You already own Minecraft, and below that, in small text, a link provided to claim your Win10 edition.

    5. Follow that link and provide your Win10 (Microsoft) account.

    6. Open MS store in Win10, look for Minecraft. It should now say that you own it.

    7. Install and play.

    Thanks,

    Brad
