Minecraft migration went wrong due to blocked hotmail account

Hi there Gabby welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I hope you have your Hotmail email and password! If you have any other Laucher on your computer other than the one found on Mojang's official website you must first do the following:

1 - Delete the Lauchers that exist on your computer that are not official Mojang;

2 - Restart your computer;

3 - Download the original software again and install:

https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download

If you don't have another Laucher on your computer or have already deleted:

1 - Open Minecraft Laucher;

2 - If you are already logged in, click on your image and Gamertag in the upper left corner of the screen and then on "Logout";

3 - If you are already logged out or not logged in to your account, delete all accounts registered in Laucher by clicking on the "X" next to each account;

4 - In Minecraft Laucher, enter the email and password of your Microsoft account!

If this doesn't work contact Mojang to change the email! https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Hi Cristopher, thank you for your kind help. The problem is my Hotmail account is locked, I have no access to it, they already told me after long chats.. And Mojang sent me to Microsoft to solve this!!!I spent a lot of time with Microsoft support and they are not able to help with recovering the Hotmail. So my Hotmail account is lost and they have no solution to track the original owner who actually spent money on a Minecraft account and have all the payments details. Thank you anyway and if you find something else, please help. I only expect help from the beautiful people in this comunity now.

Migration was successful. Tried to log in to Minecraft, got message: "Invalid email or password"

Hm. Changed the hotmail password & used it to log in to hotmail again. Worked.

Used same new password to log in to Minecraft, failed again same message: "Invalid email or password".

I'm stumped.

You will need to contact Minecraft Support, and we will review your account.

Was having this problem and it was because my email was blocked due to inactivity. Log into hotmail and fix this and it worked
