    Minecraft migration gamertag stolen


    I went to migrate my Mojang account to a Microsoft one and discovered some [mod removed] stole my username. They purposely made a new account and used my username as their gamertag. I looked at their Xbox profile and it shows they haven't been online in 5 months, have 0 gamer score and 1 "played" game: Minecraft for playstation.

    Can you like switch my gamertag around with that one so i don't have to be #6023

    If a person doesn't sign into their Xbox account within 5 years, the tag will be freed up. If they don't sign into their Microsoft account within 2 years, the account will be closed which should also free up the tag.

    As long as the tag is in use on the servers, no one can just give you that tag. You would either have to continue using the one you have or find a different tag no one else has if you don't want to he suffix.

    Hi Lucas,

    So the email that used to be used to log into minecraft has a microsoft account. When I log in to the microsoft account specifically, I'm not sure if the account has been migrated. Like I said, I can't figure out how to log into an account to download minecraft.

    Honestly, maybe the account was migrated but to a stolen microsoft account? If that was the case, how would I get my game back?
