    Minecraft Migration Causes Account Wipe?


    I recently have migrated my Minecraft account to a Microsoft account. I changed my email while doing this, but mostly the process went fine. I even played with friends after the fact, and my account seemed completely fine. We were using mods and on a server.

    Now I've gone to play on a different server with different mods, using the Curseforge app to open it. When the main screen opened, I was logged out again, saying my account was still on Mojang. Quickly logged in with Microsoft and realized all my skins had been wiped. Then I opened the game, and all my servers were gone.

    Why has this happened? Is there a way I can get them back? I know it's my account, and this didn't happen when I used the Curseforge app to open Minecraft another time. Any solutions??

    Assigning Minecraft account to a diffrent Microsoft account

    Since my Microsoft account was linked to my Minecraft account I lost access to my Minecraft account cause someone deleted my Microsoft account. Now Im not sure what happens but I was wondering if i would be possible to link a diffrent Microsoft account to an already migrated Minecraft account.

    Unfortunately not. If the Microsoft account that your Minecraft account was migrated to was deleted then your Minecraft would be essentially deleted along with it.

    Not if the account was Migrated. When an account is migrated you lose any downloads that were downloaded before the Migrated. It even stated so on the FAQ when it was the Migration Tool was available. I think it does this by wiping out your Download History.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. Unfortunately, the Migration period for Mojang accounts ended last year. If you did not migrate to a Microsoft account before migration ended, you will need to buy Minecraft again from a Microsoft account. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
