minecraft microsoft account error

On my ps4, my Microsoft account was previously signed in on Minecraft. Now it suddenly isn’t and every time I try to sign in with a Microsoft account I get the error “Oops! Looks like this account is already connected. Please sign in with your previously connected Microsoft Account.”.

I swear I only had one Microsoft account logged in to it and I’m using the same one… is there a way I can check I’m using the right one to log in?

I already tried deleting Minecraft and its saved data and redownloading it to no avail. Why is it so convoluted to achieve a simple thing so I can play with my cross-platform friends? Are there any sort of solutions that aren’t just based on luck to get a Microsoft account signed in? I don't know what to do.

Please be informed that there is a Minecraft/Mojang account migration to a Microsoft account. Have you already migrated your Minecraft account to a Microsoft account? If so, your Minecraft account and Microsoft account are linked as one already.

What just happened when you proceed with it? Are you getting any error message or error code?

With migration errors, it is common for the game client not to recognize your purchased license. This can be resolved once the migration error is found.

This is not the first time I've signed into my Microsoft account for minecraft or Nintendo switch. I have tried multiple wifi connections, and the only error code it gives me is error code 500 and says xbox live cannot complete this request. I am able to log into my Microsoft account on the regular Microsoft website, just doesn't work for the website to connect it to my minecraft for nintendo switch

Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no way to know what's the Microsoft account connected to your PSN account.

If you're sure about this, and you never connected to a different Microsoft account, you can try reaching out to Minecraft support asking for the options you have or if they can investigate further on this matter
