    Minecraft Local LAN Play with Multiple Devices


    Okay, so I am really confused. I am trying to play Minecraft with my kids on our local network. I have a PS4, Switch and two Android tablets. I setup a bedrock server that only half of my devices can see.

    - Everyone has a Microsoft account and is logged in.

    - All of the versions match across all of the systems and the bedrock server (1.14.1).

    - My PS4 (Adult account) can see and play on the server

    - All Android devices can see and play on the server

    Here is where things start getting weird. My kid's child accounts can't see the servers from the PS4 because of child restrictions. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen or heard of. A child account can't play on a **local** server because
    of online restrictions. Based on this restriction, I decided to purchase Minecraft for the Switch. Now the issue is that no account on the switch can see the server.

    Is there a way to get the Switch to see a local bedrock server to join and play? The PS4 (adult account) and all of the Android devices see the server listed under "Friends" tab as a "LAN Game". I didn't have to add it as when the server was launched,
    it just populated on that tab.

    This all seems very weird to me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Got the same problem...

    spent around 2h trying to get it to work today on 2 different nintendo switch, just does not work, something buggered with the Nintendo Switch Minecraft version.. for reference this is what I have tried today:

    1. Running the minecraft bedrock server version 1.14.1 on ubuntu in a local network.

    2. connected successfully from Android, PS4, Win10

    3. Tried from 2 different switches connecting to the same access point as android and PS4. Tried both with the same MS account as was used on the PS4 as well as a separate one. tried both switching the whole "local network vs online" switching several times
    in different ways.

    very disappointed that I could not get it to work as the purpose was to have a kids birthday part with 7 boys playing together in one world locally.. I already bought Minecraft 4 times on different platforms.. and the promised "will work everywhere" appear

    This is for normal worlds hosted on other devices on my local area network. I've tested hosting worlds on android tablets, android phones, ipads, and a dedicated bedrock server running on my PC. In all cases, the mobile devices are able to connect to other
    multiplayer worlds on my LAN, but the XBox shows the "Your friends are not playing Minecraft right now" message despite being able to see the other worlds (as indicated by the count under the friends tab).
