Minecraft Launching Failed

I was reading a similar case that someone was having on reddit, and the solution they found was:

Go to that location to see if the javaw.exe is there. If it is do the following. If not skip down.

In the Launcher click Installations, select the profile/instance you want to use. Click the 3dots followed by Edit. Click More Options then look for Java Executable. Click Browse and go to that javaw.exe. Click Save. Give it a go.

If its not there. Go here and download Java 17 and get the Windows x64 Installer https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase... Follow the steps to Browse for the java exe. The default location should be C:/Program Files/Java/jdk-17.0.6/bin/java.exe but to be sure you can either open cmd and type echo %java_home or hit Window key + R and type %java_home% and the javaw.exe is in the /bin/ folder. Hit Save.

Hit Play and if all goes well, go hug a creeper.

Based on the description you posted, it seems that you have an issue with Xbox wherein when you try to launch your Minecraft through Microsoft Store it just tells you that your account doesn't have Minecraft after Migrating and updating your Minecraft launcher.

Let’s work together in finding the best solution to this issue.



For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

• Have you double checked that you are logged in with the correct account?



In the meantime, we would like you to try the steps provided down below:

Fix 1: Perform an SFC Scannow

1. Press your Windows key and type in: cmd then just do a right click on it and select "Run as Administrator."

2. Now, kindly type in these command lines:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

sfc /scannow

3. Please, press enter on each of these command lines and wait for each process to complete.

4. Once done, it will give you a report on how your system is corrupted and how it was able to fix all of it.

I assumed that once I created an account and logged into it, my computer would be on the same page. Unfortunately, the Microsoft store my computer was logged into was a guest one. Once I figured this out and figured it out how to log in with the account I created, I was able to fix the problem. Thanks for the help Sun Khou!
