Please double check and try the next:

Uninstall first the current Minecraft launcher.

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Now, sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > system > storage > advance storage options (only windows 11) > where new content is saved > under apps select the C: drive

Then, go back to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and install Minecraft launcher using the Xbox app instead

Im afraid this had no effect.

Now when I launch Xbox, I am unable to open minecraft launcher at all.

Error:
"Minecraft Launcher can’t open because it can’t be found. The storage device might be missing or disconnected."




Please help.

To provide a little more info, some games do nothing when I click play in the game pass app, or try the desktop shortcut.

Others will begin to open or show a launcher and then display this error popup:

{GAME NAME} can’t open because it is offline. The storage device might be missing or disconnected.

I open the minecraft launcher, log into my account, and then doesn’t let me play minecraft, i can use the minecraft launcher in the xbox app using gamepass, but cannot play minecraft

Omg thank u I had a error similar to that where every time I try to open the new Minecraft windows launcher it opens MICROSOFT store and won’t let me use the launcher tab
