Minecraft launcher says I do not own the game which wasnt an issue last year. Please fix?

I have tried to reinstall launcher, sign in and out of the account, nothing works. Please help me!!!

Same thing happened to me today! I have also owned minecraft for like 5 years, but suddenly today I got a message from the launcher saying "Do you own this game or app". I really do not want to use money on buying something I already own.

Same here, I own Minecraft for Windows 10 but nothing recognizes it. Minecraft.net claims I do not own it, the Xbox app says I own no games, and even though I can sign into the launcher it says "Failed to create profile" whenever I press "Play"

After uninstalling and re-installing everything, as well as signing out of every account, the only difference is that I am now also unable to install the Minecraft launcher. I installed a fan-made launcher and it also claimed I did not own the game.

If there is a way to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

If the order is showing on your Microsoft account order history and on the website it shows you that you already own the game, it is probably just a sync issue with the launcher.

Please try to completely uninstall all Minecraft versions of your computer and the Minecraft launcher. Restart your computer and install them all again. It should fix your issue.

For me it opens up the Launcher recognizing my minecraft name but for the Java version (which I previously owned under Majong) it says I can PLAY DEMO. For the Minecraft for Windows it says I can PLAY TRIAL. But I already own Minecraft.
