Minecraft launcher refuses to install and I do not know why

Hello,

I am currently dealing with an issue where Minecraft launcher refuses to work on my newly built pc. Windows 11 is activated and up to date and I have tried a variety of troubleshooting options. I have tried to get it from Minecraft.net, Microsoft Store, and the Xbox app. I have tried to install Java + Bedrock separately from the launcher and that also does not work. According to some of the error messages I have gotten it seems to be something to do with my license? Specifically it says "CLiP license device ID does not match the device ID in the bound device license. (Exception from HRESULT: 0xc0ea000a)." I got this message when I first tried with the launcher and when I try to get it on the store. I have the same Microsoft account signed in for everything, and it is the same Microsoft account that is linked to my Minecraft account. The error code it says sometimes is 0xc0ea000a, though the most consistent screen I get is the Minecraft launcher being unable to process. I have tried using the store reset command, signing out of it and signing back in, signing out and signing back into the Xbox app, and restarting my computer several times. Is there possibly something wrong with my OS? Will I have to do a full reset?

What is strange is that one of the times that I downloaded it from the store (which also gives you Bedrock), I tried accessing Minecraft Bedrock and it worked. So I have no clue what the issue here could be. It seems to still be the CLiP license or whatever that is but I have no idea how to fix it. I would appreciate any support in this matter.

This can happen when you switch devices or change regions.

To resolve this issue, you will need to contact Xbox Support. They will be able to assist you in updating the device ID on your license so that it matches the device ID on your new device.

Then, follow these steps:

Type in your query: "Agent"

Click on Get Help.

Scroll down the page and click on Contact Support.

Select your "Other Products" and "Billing and Account Profile Questions" > Confirm.

Select Chat with support agent > Confirm > Start Chat.

why use the launcher, i use minecraft direct without the launcher, you have the option to install minecraft with or without launcher in the xbox app.

Thank you so much for your help. I drafted and posted an entire response to your question after repairing the Microsoft Store and trying to download the Minecraft Launcher. As soon as I was finished I looked over and Minecraft was installed and able to start running. Thank you so much, I can't believe I missed that even though I did the same thing to the Launcher itself. Have a great New Year!
