Minecraft launcher not acknowledging that I own the game

I purchased Minecraft back in september of last year, and was able to play it without any issues for a few months before I decided to take a break. Today I wanted to play again so I opened the launcher and signed in to the same account, but now the launcher is only letting me play the demo as if I didn't own the game. I logged in to minecraft.net and it's showing that I already bought the game, but the launcher still isn't.

The only changes that I've made between then and now are the email address associated with my MS account, and my Xbox Live gamertag. I don't think that should've affected anything with my game library, but I don't know. I've tried restarting my computer, uninstalling & reinstalling the launcher, logging out of & back in to my account; pretty much every solution I can think of. At this point the only option I know of would be to make a new account and purchase the game again, but I really don't want to waste my money and my progress on multiplayer servers. Can someone please help me?

Are both Minecraft Bedrock and Java Edition showing there as owned?

Also, please check on your Microsoft account order history page if the order for Minecraft for Windows is showing as completed there:

Theres no error message or anything. On the launcher, Microsoft store, and xbox app, all of them acknowledge I own the bedrock edition. The only problem is that when I click download on the full game (not the preview), It downloads the trial

no , I don't have a Xbox and I'm trying to get the bedrock version on pc and I've seen videos of how to get it if u own java edition but they all say I have to get the Minecraft launcher on the windows store so I'm trying to get the Minecraft launcher on the Microsoft store but it say I own the game when I don't own it thank you for responding .

Same here, I own Minecraft for Windows 10 but nothing recognizes it. Minecraft.net claims I do not own it, the Xbox app says I own no games, and even though I can sign into the launcher it says "Failed to create profile" whenever I press "Play"

After uninstalling and re-installing everything, as well as signing out of every account, the only difference is that I am now also unable to install the Minecraft launcher. I installed a fan-made launcher and it also claimed I did not own the game.

If there is a way to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

I have this exact same issue. Even though I migrated my account, it seems to think I don't own Minecraft. I can play Minecraft on the old launcher (logged into my Microsoft account) as it seems to recognise that I own the game there. Its only the new launcher that is having the issue and the Mojang website.

If you still have the old launcher installed maybe give it a go as it still works for me.
