Minecraft Launcher no longer says I own minecraft after migrating.

So I migrated my mojang account to a microsoft account and everything worked fine while I was in my web browser. I set my gamertag and everything was fine, I even had the special migration cape, until I logged in on the minecraft launcher with my microsoft account and there I was forced to pick a new gamertag because it was telling me that the gamertag that I set wasn't able to be used.

Now my microsoft account on the launcher tells me I don't own the game and the original mojang account I had seems to have completely disappeared because now whenever I log onto my microsoft account on either the launcher or the website, all I get is the account linked to the new gamertag that I was forced to make when I was in the launcher.

I contacted mojang support and they told me they can do nothing about it because only microsoft can change my account details but microsoft support doesn't seem to have a place where I can contact them by email to request help. I don't want to talk to someone on the phone, I don't want to chat online with a stupid virtual assistant that cannot help me, or chat online with even a person because my patchy internet goes down at the drop of a hat. For the love of god microsoft, give me an email where I can send a support ticket. Your support system sucks!

Does anyone know where I can get some actual help that doesn't redirect me to the same options that are no help to me?

Nevermind, I ended up contacting help through the online chat and got this issue resolved. It seems I was suppose to log into the launcher with my yahoo email even though it's a microsoft account, because my yahoo email was the email linked to the java version of minecraft that I owned. So if anyone else has this issue then try a different email.

I still stand by my opinion that microsoft has a very non user friendly or inclusive support system. I have a severe anxiety disorder, I find it very hard to address real people that I do not know, even in an online chat, in real time. I find it so much more comfortable to use support tickets and email when I need to contact people. Microsoft needs to consider that not everyone wants to or is comfortable with, talking with an online tech in real time. It's distressing for people like me.

Yes, the migration completed successfully. It showed me the confirmation message and everything. My skin is even transported to the Microsoft account, and I can log in with it both in Mojang site (It no longer lets me log in with the Mojang account, only with Microsoft account), and the launcher. But it says I don't own Minecraft java Edition, and only lets me play demo.

I have this exact same issue. Even though I migrated my account, it seems to think I don't own Minecraft. I can play Minecraft on the old launcher (logged into my Microsoft account) as it seems to recognise that I own the game there. Its only the new launcher that is having the issue and the Mojang website.

If you still have the old launcher installed maybe give it a go as it still works for me.
