    So I downloaded/bought Minecraft and I was trying to get mods so I downloaded the Minecraft launcher. When I did this, I tried to play but it said only demo so I clicked on demo and it said I only get a free Trial. It told me I had to buy it again but on the Minecraft website. I tried everything I could, but I really don't want to buy it again. PLEASE HELP!

    Thanks for replying, but it is on PC, via the Minecraft launcher, and java edition.

    Minecraft will not open via launcher, only through microsoft store.

    Hello mimim2,

    The Minecraft launcher you are referring to is only for the Java edition of Minecraft. The Java edition and Windows 10, are two separate games. In order to launch and play Minecraft from the launcher you are using in the last image, you must buy the Java
    edition from the site, not the Windows 10 version. Minecraft Java Edition | Minecraft. Annoying I know, but when Microsoft acquired Minecraft they released
    their own version of the game on their platform. Hope this helps

    If the issues are on the Java launcher installer, please, log in the Microsoft store app with the account that made the purchase then look for the Minecraft launcher and install it from there then log in in the launcher with the account that made the purchase on the java section and finally install the java edition

    Why exactly it is not working? You cannot install or play it? Would you please give me more details about it?

    Have you tried to download the Minecraft launcher and start the Java Edition through it?

    The Java copy of Minecraft can only be obtained by downloading the launcher Here.

    The MICROSOFT store will only have the 'Windows 10 Edition'

    Please fully uninstall all Minecraft apps, launchers, files. After you do this, download the launcher I linked above.
