Minecraft Launcher freezes with black screen

Thanks for your advice. Sadly, it didn't resolve the problem. I tried it multiple times. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hit the windows key + R and type %appdata% and then proceed to find the .minecraft folder and delete it and then open up the launcher again and it will take you to the login screen. Your worlds are gone but you can drag your world files out and put it on your desktop until after running Minecraft again so it creates the folder necessary to put your worlds back sorry for the aneurysm you gained from reading that. (take the world files out first before deleting the .minecraft folder)

Open Powershell in admin mode and paste the following, which I believe reinstalls the default apps on Windows 10.

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Well I already did that about 10 times so I don't think it would help.

I'm afraid not. You can backup your worlds and reinstall the game.
