Minecraft launcher broken.

I just bought minecraft on another microsoft account after already owning one. In order to reinstall minecraft I deleted the entire .minecraft folder (yes idk if that was smart) After I reinstalled the launcher and closed it I tried to reopen the launcher and it wouldn't work. I uninstalled the minecraft launcher and I'm still left with it a minecraft launcher in the start menu. It's like some kind of ghost file I can't delete it or show file location it's just there. Everytime I want to play minecraft I have to reinstall the launcher just for it to open. Once it's closed I can't reopen it without reinstalling.

Possible causes: .minecraft deletion, launcer.json deletion in minecraft of new launcher, In microsoft store I'm signed into a really old account and everytime I close it or sign into a new account and come back it reverts to the old account and I can't remove it.

Below is what it looks like and I can't uninstall it, when I uninstall the minecraft launcher in apps it remains there. I've tried repairing minecraft launcher but that only seems to repair the newly installed minecraft launcher and not this ghost app.

Please try this:

Press Windows key + X and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

Type or copy / past the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Wait until the command ends, after that restart your PC and verify (don’t worry if you see red messages, that’s normal)

If maybe that doesn’t work, try creating a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

Are you receiving an error when you try reinstalling the launcher?
If that's the case, which one?

By the way, are you trying to install the launcher via Microsoft store?
If that's the case, use instead the Xbox app

And, please tell me which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this, in that way I can advise you different things

If you are using the old launcher, it may not work. Download the new one here. Also note that you should have the latest version of Java on your computer. Download it here.

Is this happening only with the Minecraft launcher? Are you able to sign in to the Microsoft store, Xbox app and Microsoft/Xbox websites just fine?

Yes, i can sign in to everything else. I just signed in to minecraft on my tablet today, actually. the issue is only winth the NEW minecraft launcher available on the Microsoft Store.
