Minecraft Launcher and Steam does not show up in Family Safety

I sort of figure it out. If you go to the actual launcher in program files, right click, and then select properties, then security, then advanced, then add, then select and principal, then advanced, then find now, then scroll around and find your kid's account. Then just click all the buttons like "ok" or "Add" or "save" or whatever, and be sure to give "full control". Then log into their account, find the launcher again in program files, then right click and add to taskbar. Boom, works!

Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users

Make sure your account is listed as an adult or a standalone user

2. Check the Family Safety app (if installed)

Open Microsoft Family Safety on your PC or phone

Make sure no restrictions are still applied under “Screen time” or “App limits”

If your old family settings still show up, remove yourself again

3. Clear Game Pass and Xbox app data

There could be cached restrictions still in the Xbox App:

Sign out of the Xbox app and Microsoft Store

Restart your PC

Sign back in using only the adult Microsoft account you want to use

4. Try launching the game from the Xbox App (not Start menu)

Sometimes launching directly from the Xbox App > Library bypasses Family Safety restrictions, especially for Game Pass titles

So following things:

1. There is no Minecraft on Microsoft Store App, everything else I've purchased is in the list. There is the Minecraft Launcher in "modified" status since I tried installing the game.

2. If I login on the minecraft.net website it shows that I need to buy the game, it doesn't show up on the purchases.

3. My account is in a family group.

No, for some reason Minecraft.net does not show the purchased Minecraft Bedrock Windows 10 Edition. I did not run minecraft through the launcher, I downloaded it from the Microsoft store and just opened it without using the launcher.

Zach, when you were in the family group, your privacy settings were managed by a parent/adult account, or you never had to ask for “permission” to change the settings?

If it's the second, please try this potential fix:

Step 1. Go again to your privacy and online safety settings and disable everything under “Privacy” and “Online safety for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10”.

Step 2. Sign out from your account on the Minecraft launcher and the Xbox app.

Step 3. Go to PC Settings > Installed Apps > Look for the Minecraft launcher and go to advanced settings.
Then click “repair” and “reset”.

Step 4. Open one more time your privacy and online safety settings and enable everything for both privacy and online safety tabs.

Step 5. Wait 5-10 minutes and access with your account on the Minecraft launcher and try entering again to the multiplayer features.
