Minecraft Laucnher says I don't have Minecraft Java Edition even tho I have had it since 2014.

Please check the following:

1. Confirm that you’re signing in to the same Microsoft account you used to migrate your Mojang account.

2. Make sure that you’re not signing in with your Mojang account. Migrated accounts are only able to sign in with your Microsoft account.

3. If you forgot which email you used to create your Microsoft account for migration, you’ll need to speak with Microsoft support to recover the email address used to sign up. To do so, select Contact us on this page.

4. You may not have completed your migration. Go to your Mojang account profile page and start the migration again.

I am experiencing the same issue. Nothing states JAVA EDITION, even tho I have it and have used it once before. All that I see available is Minecraft Launcher(doesnt open anything when I click on it), Minecraft Dungeons, & Minecraft for Windows PC bundle, all of which don't allow me to access the Java Edition which I need to access an alpha custom server. Very fustrating.

I have Minecraft JAVA Edition and downloaded Minecraft
windows 10. It said it should come with a free copy since I have had my java account since 2014. When I started it up it was only the trial version of the game. I followed all of the steps to get it, but it didn't work. Why is this? PLEASE

Xbox user interface confused me since I never had to use it before. Minecraft: Java Edition (and more) is in fact in my library there!
I suspect the problem might be with changing "Java edition" to "Java And Bedrock" on Minecraft.net but i don't know.

The problem itself is with "We were unable to verify what products you own. Please check your internet connection." in the Minecraft Launcher. I do not know how this verification is done so i don't even know who to contact.

How long ago did you purchase the game? Are you able to see it listed in your purchase history on account.microsoft.com? Have you tried deleting the game from your console and then re-downloading it?

So I checked my purchase history, and no, Minecraft is not there. Here's the thing. I have Minecraft: Xbox One Edition still, but not Minecraft. (Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is an old legacy console edition of Minecraft, just like the Playstation 4 Edition
and Xbox 360 Edition. Then Mojang put Minecraft on the Xbox One into Bedrock Edition, and EVERYONE who had the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft, got the new, simply named Minecraft for free.

I don't know if Minecraft: Xbox One Edition was a Xbox Game Pass Game, but I bought that digitally.

So I uninstalled Minecraft just now and now it isn't in my ready to install, and it is saying I NEVER BOUGHT IT and I don't even OWN it. It used to say you own this game, but since I uninstalled Minecraft, it doesn't even say that anymore.

Now I don't even have it at ALL.

Edit: I bought the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft probably at least 3 years ago. Then they came out with Minecraft on the Xbox on Bedrock Edition, and everyone who OWNED it beforehand, got the new and improved version for free since they had already bought
the old version. I don't even think they update the Minecraft: Xbox One Edition anymore.

So basically my money was stolen, and now I have to pay more if I want Minecraft back.

(sorry if i sound angry, i just really love Minecraft, and my friends and i get on this EPIC world almost every day together and have fun. Now i can't do that anymore...)
