    Minecraft Lagging (especially on realms) when more than one player is playing on split screen.


    Minecraft is very laggy when I try to play it and there is more than one player on split screen, no matter what graphic settings I use, the game is unplayable. Please leave any suggestions/fixes. Any tips would be appreciated

    There are two reasons for this phenomenon: 1. Insufficient video card memory or GPU problem; 2. Insufficient network bandwidth, which theoretically requires 200G bandwidth to run the game properly.

    As I am playing on xbox I dont really know how to reduce gpu/cpu usage. I close apps whenever I go back to the home screen and I allow my console to start up properly before playing games. (Also its FPS lag and not connection lag) Thanks for the reply

    I have nothing against split screen players as when my nephew comes round I usually let him play with me. I hardly ever 'lag' unless I'm connected with some Americans. There are more split screeners that you think and you can't always tell which players
    are split, they don't all share gamertags so the (1) doesn't show. Lag switchers on the other hand. Never played with one so it doesn't affect me.

    Thanks for your response. I have tried all of the steps without success. Additionally, I've deleted the Realm and started a new one with the same results. Playing split screen, player two gathers some wood. After quiting out and changing to my wife's account, she logs into the ew realm with no inventory. The game it still treating her like split screen is a separate entity.
