Minecraft keeps stalling while in games Xb1s

My nephews game client has been stalling / freezing since the latest update.

I am worried about a reinstall option as he would be extremely upste aboit losing his worlds.

What can i do to help fix this?

He loves the game but is getting really frustrated being unable to play with his friends as he only gets an hour of screen time

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Our minecraft keeps freezing/stalling too at the screen with the two grey boxes (join game on right). I can't tell if this is an xbox issue or a minecraft issue. I suppose I can try and reinstall.... this is totally frustrating. We have waited a long time
for the game and it's having issues.

Developers can only push the hardware to a certain degree before it stalls. 360 has been stalling for a while. Hell the iPad 3 (performance wise) is very close to 360. Technology wise 5 years is a very long time and it seems to be the perfect mix. It keeps
whole industry moving.

Visually console games appear seriously outdated. The WOW factor is no longer there.

My game keeps freezing/stalling when I get to the diner in the very beginning of the game. Should've got a PS4.

I'm keeping my 360 for a while but I will be getting watch dogs on the XB1, no point in having a next gen console and buying games for the old one.
