    Minecraft-Joining friends world


    Hello,

    I have been unable to join my friends world at all. It has worked once or twice, but almost everyday I get "Unable to connect to world". I have seen some similar questions but no fixes have worked for me. I have tried changing what I can, reinstalling, wired vs nonwired, joining and quitting a world. I can play other games with them fine, and we can all join servers to play minigames so I am unsure why joining their world is the only issue. I am on a schools WIFI network so cannot change any setting router side but have tried to change what I can. UPnP is turned off and NAT is strict, and theirs is set to open.

    hello minecraft only allows you to join your friend's games to avoid people joining random people's worlds and destroying em, so no games will be on the list unless your friend has minecraft and is online in his/her world.

    You need to use the same game version as your friends in order to join their worlds in Minecraft.

    So... it appears you're having problems connecting to your friends worlds in Minecraft for Windows 10.

    I would have them check their in-game settings in Minecraft under the main menu there, and make sure that Online play is enabled. Sometimes this is switched to being disabled and therefore they cannot join any online games and friends cannot join their game
    either. Both you and your friends should check in Minecraft settings and make sure that Online play is enabled and friends are allowed to join. Then you can select which permissions you would like to enable for your friends when they join your world after
    that.
