    Minecraft Java on windows fps issues


    When I started playing the new Minecraft version, I began to have fps issues which include being locked at 60 fps and stuttering even with optifine, the fps enhancer. I have tried changing my fps limit, using low quality settings, updating windows and my drivers, and allocating minecraft less and more RAM, all which have not worked. This does not happen with any other higher performance games I play.

    Hi, could be a bug with the latest Minecraft launcher version.

    I can advise you couple things more, but they're completely optional. Feel free to do the ones that you prefer

    Downloaded from the Microsoft store?

    If yes, this can be a bit odd. But try using instead the older Launcher marked as Windows 7/8 from this page - https://minecraft.net/download
    Once installed verify if that helps.

    Oh, my bad.
    In that case try the opposite. Download the new Minecraft launcher using the Xbox PC app or the Microsoft store.

    If the issue persist I can advise you other things to try:

    A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
    Restart the PC and try again

    B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again (is like option A but deeper)

    C. If maybe you have an antivirus, system optimizer tool or similar , please disable all the protections or functionalities and try again

    D. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

    Hey Josef, this is in fact Java edition. I have tried disabling all mods and I have the same problem. I am using the minecraft launcher
