    There was an offer a while ago, where Microsoft was offering a copy of the Bedrock edition with the Java edition, but that offer has now ended.

    I'm afraid you will have to purchase it. Sorry about that.

    The offer is not live yet. If you purchased Windows Edition, you will receive Java Edition for free, but only when the offer goes live.

    The exact timing for when this offer will go live will become available at the URL on my previous reply at the official Minecraft page for the offer.

    This offer is available if you own Minecraft Java or Minecraft for Windows. This gives you the other version for free. So if you own Java Edition, you get Minecraft for Windows (and vice-versa).

    Now if you own only Minecraft Bedrock for other platforms than PC (Xbox, Nintendo, Playstation) you will not be able to get Java.
